A fun exploration of the craft of acting for all 6th graders!  Through a variety of “hands-on” activities, students will gain an understanding of basic theatre terminology and acting technique while participating in different performance styles (pantomime, vocal development, improvisation). 

 

 

EXPLORATORY DRAMA (6TH GRADE)

A semester-long class that will provides students with an in-depth exploration of the various elements both onstage and offstage that go into a theatrical production, culminating in the performance of a one-act play for the entire 7th grade.

PERFORMANCE (8TH GRADE)

Ever wondered what it would be like to be a professional actor?  This year-long high school credit class not only equips 8th graders with the tools they need to get started in the industry (resume and headshot development, audition techniques), but also affords them the opportunity to try their hand in many different career modes: 

*Voice-Overs

*Children’s Theatre (a touring production)

*Directing

*Comedy Improvisation

*Television/Film Production

*Shakespeare

*One-act play production
